ABOUT TALISA LANOÉ
BIOGRAPHY
I am a self-taught Kenyan creative photographer and an intrepid world traveler. My fearless love for adventure and keen eye for detail imbues my travel and experiential photography with unique perspectives. Both an avid sky and ocean diver, my work has taken me all over the world chasing interest-ing stories, portraits, landscapes and seascapes. My formative years were dedicated to training for swimming at the Olympics. I achieved this dream in 2016, representing Kenya in the 100-meter Backstroke in Rio De Janeiro. This experience built in me the kind of focus and dedication required to put one’s whole heart into something. As re-warding as it was, I also felt that I had missed out on seeing the world and exploring other hobbies. Since then, I have been making up for lost time, satisfying my hunger for experience and capturing it through a - literal and metaphorical - lens to share with the world. I am motivated by leveraging content to make a positive impact and change mindsets. An environmentalist and philanthropist at heart, I have launched my own initiatives as well as collaborated with multiple organizations that focus on reforestation, clean water, feeding the less fortunate and waste management projects in Kenya. I would like to use my photography skills to document subjects that speak to the human condition in the 21st century, in new and relatable ways. To create in hopes to t inspire people to dream, explore, connect and to protect the beauty of what we have.
